Before the Indian Super League (ISL) final, Mumbai Indians players wished Mumbai City FC “luck and success” for the summit on Saturday. Mumbai City FC ATL will take the franchise of Fatorda Stadium and the Indian Premier League (IPL) from Mohun Bagan to the ISL final, with Mumbai Indians cheering on Sergio Lobera to complete the “unprecedented” season on a high. Mumbai Indians Director of Cricket Operations, Zaheer Khan, expressed his best wishes for Mumbai City FC, while all-rounder Hardik Pandya said that all the players in the camp are favoring in the ISL final.

In a video posted on Mumbai City FC Twitter, Hardik said, “Best wishes to Mumbai Indians FC. Everyone here at Mumbai Indians is cheering for you. So you bring that title.”
Zaheer said, “The season so far has been unprecedented. The final of the ISL is all around and I just want to wish all the luck and success in the finals. We are proud to allow you all to ‘bring the trophy’.”
Star batsman Suryakumar Yadav also extended his wishes for the Mumbai-based club ahead of the ISL final.
“This is the last time, play well and work hard and bring the trophy to Mumbai,” he said.
Some would argue that there is a better candidate for the final than these two as both ATKMB and Mumbai have been head and shoulders above the entire season.
Both teams make it to the finals with a similar record, 12 wins and just 4 defeats in the league stage.
Despite a typical penalty-shootout win over FC Goa in the semi-finals, it will be Mumbai who will make it to the final full of confidence. He scored a double over Bagan in the league stage, handing him the league winner’s shield after those victories.
For Mumbai, it will be the final for the first time, but coach Lobera, and a handful of their players have been here before, when FC Goa lost to Bengaluru FC in 2018-19. The team, however, seems to be relying on Lobera.

The match will also decide the fate of the Golden Boot and Golden Glove winners. While ATKMB striker Roy Krishna and Goa’s Igor Angulo are tied for the Golden Boot on 14 goals, one goal will be awarded on Saturday to the Fijian, who has played more minutes than the Spaniard.
The gold medal award race is between Mumbai’s patron Amarinder Singh and ATKMB’s Arindam Bhattacharja. Both players have 10 clean sheets in their names. At this time, Arindam is in pole position, after achieving a low target.
