Virat Kohli has shifted his focus to his next assignment – the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) after leading India to a 2–1 ODI series win over England on Sunday. It is set to start next week, there is not much time left for the tournament and Kohli has started his preparations with an eye on the elusive trophy. The India captain posted a video of himself on a Twitter handle in which he can be seen running on a treadmill inside a hotel room. Kohli wrote the video in the caption, “No rest day. From here on its speed #IPL.”

Kohli’s IPL teammate AB de Villiers responded to RCB’s skipper’s video on the micro-blogging site and praised him for furthering his form in the tournament. De Villiers, who played one of the lead roles in RCB’s batting, also shared his picture to join his team. Replying to Kohli’s tweet, he wrote, “Form Loving @imVkohli .. I am ready to join the team.”
RCB have not won the IPL despite some of their most explosive players over the years. Chasing the elusive title, RCB once again spent big in the annual auction held in February, with Kyle Jamieson (Rs 15 crore), Glenn Maxwell (Rs 14.25 crore), Daniel Christian (Rs 4.80 crore), along with a few Were included. Hoping for young talent to be on their roster.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), which reached the IPL playoffs last year, will begin their campaign against defending champions Mumbai Indians in Chennai on 9 April.
