The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has replaced New Zealand wicketkeeper batsman Finn Allen in place of Josh Phillip, who will remain unavailable for the entire season. Philip, who made his debut in 2020, played five matches and scored 78 runs for RCB. His replacement Finn competed in 12 first class games for New Zealand and scored three fifties. “Royal Challengers Bangalore have replaced New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Finn Allen for Josh Phillip, who will be unavailable for the entire season,” an IPL official statement said.
Finn had a base price of Rs 20 lakhs, which was on par with Josh Phillip.
The IPL Governing Council on Sunday announced the schedule of the league to be held in India at six venues from 9 April.
The defending champion will take on RCB in Chennai in the Mumbai Indians tournament opener.
The final of the 14th edition of the tournament will be played on May 30 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The playoffs will also be played at the same venue.
Each team is set to play in four places during the league stage.
Out of 56 league matches, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru will each host 10 matches, while Ahmedabad and Delhi will each host 8 matches.

One of the highlights of this edition of the IPL will be the fact that all matches will be played at neutral venues. Neither team will play at their home venue.
All teams will play four of the six spots during the league stage.
