There are still a couple of months left before Apple announces the next iPhone lineup. While the upcoming lineup was generally believed to be named iPhone 13, there were also some claims that Apple may skip the number 13 and simply go by the name ‘iPhone’. Others suggested that Apple might name the device lineup as iPhone 12S. But as per the supply chain, the name of the 2021 iPhone is going to be iPhone 13 only, as per a report by 9To5Mac.
As per the report, “Apple’s new iPhone this year has entered the countdown stage of stocking, and the supply chain has reported that this year’s new phone will be named iPhone 13.”
The report adds that Foxconn will get the bulk of the iPhone 13 orders while Pegatron will have the onus of assembling the iPhone 13 mini.
Apple iPhone 13: Expected features
While there have been several rumours about one of the most awaited phones of this year, one has been constantly repeated: the 120Hz display. The iPhone 13 is rumoured to come with a 120Hz ProMotion display which could be an Always-On Display. As per the rumours, the Always-On Display will only show time, battery percentage, and incoming notifications. The device is said to preserve the design philosophy of the recent iPhones and not come with a lot of heavy design changes. Also, the iPhone 13 could come with a smaller, taller notch, with the earpiece getting shifted into the bezel area. As for the colour, rumour mills have predicted two new colour variants for the iPhone 13. One could be Rose Pink and the other could be a black colour which is darker than the Space Grey of the Apple iPads.
