Infosys to create 500 jobs in Calgary, doubles workforce in Canada by 2023

In the past two years, Infosys has created 2,000 jobs in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa and Montreal, with plans to expand further across the country.

Head of IT services Infosys has said it will create 500 jobs in Calgary over the next three years, doubling its Canadian workforce to 4,000 employees by 2023.

The expansion was announced by Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, Calgary Mayor Nahid Nenshi as well as Infosys President Ravi Kumar, Calgary’s Economic Development President and CEO Mary Moran, and Invest Alberta Corp CEO David Knight Leg.

Kumar said, “We are thrilled to expand our presence in Canada and to pursue our commitment to hiring top technical talent in major hubs. Calgary is a natural next step as part of our Canadian expansion And represents an important and promising market for Infosys. ” Statement.

The statement said the Calgary expansion would allow Infosys to work with clients in Western Canada, the Pacific North West, and the Central United States.

Infosys has hired technical talent from 14 academic institutions across the country, including the University of Calgary, the University of Alberta, the University of Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, the University of British Columbia, the University of Toronto, and Waterloo.

Infosys said it plans to build a strong pipeline to expand the skills needed to accelerate digital transformation.
