Indian Premier League: Sarfaraz Khan Mimic Darren Sammy receives approval from Chris Gayle. The clock

With the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) set to begin, the mood of the Punjab Kings camp looks upbeat. The franchise posted a video on social media, in which Sarfraz Khan can be seen in front of West Indies cricketers mimicking Darren Sammy’s playing style, and he also has Chris Gayle’s approval. The Indian cricketer’s acting was so funny that it left his audience in splits, with Gail saying “Yes, it’s Sammy. It’s Sammy for real!”.

Here is the video:

The IPL 2021 is scheduled to begin on 9 April, in which the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the openers.

Punjab will play their first match on April 12, when they face Rajasthan Royals (RR).

The Punjab Kings ran a bitwave campaign in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during the 2020 season. After missing a playoff chance, they finished sixth during the league stage, with six wins and eight defeats.

Despite an erratic collective performance, Punjab captain KL Rahul achieved the Orange Cap by scoring 670 runs in 14 matches. He also recorded a century, and five half-centuries.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami was his leading wicket taker with 20 wickets. He was eighth in the Purple Cap race.

Promoted

Aiming to challenge for the playoffs in IPL 2021, the Punjab Kings roped in Australian pacer Ze Richardson for Rs 14 crore during the player’s auction. Riley Meredith was bought for 8 crores.

Meanwhile, he also spent Rs 5.25 crore on Shahrukh Khan. Other new players in the team are David Malan, Moises Henriques and Fabian Allen.
