Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma batted for a great cause in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 tournament against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), as he wore the shoes of an endangered Rhino species. In line with his style, he spoke in a unique way in this IPL, about which Rohit has long supported – the preservation of the Great One-Horned Rhinocer or Indian Rhino. The gesture was praised by former England international player Kevin Pietersen on Twitter.

The caption of Rohit’s Instagram post read, “When I went on the field yesterday, it was more than just a game for me. Playing cricket is my dream and helping to make this world a better place is one of the reasons we all Needs to work. ” It was special for me to take a reason to be close to my heart on the field, while doing what I love. Every step matters. “

Rohit wore a specially designed shoe which displayed the endangered species on him.

Art on Rohit’s spikes made a bold statement saying “save the rhino” and it would certainly educate more people and help them in their vision to save the “vulnerable” species from extinction.
