After joining RCB in 2008, Kohli is yet to win the IPL, and has been captaining the team since 2013.
The team reached the playoffs last season in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). But the defeat of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the eliminator ended their journey in IPL 2020.
Kohli was the second highest run-scorer in RCB last season with 466 runs in 15 matches. He also recorded three half-centuries.
Meanwhile, de Villiers was the third highest run-scorer on his team, scoring 454 runs from 15 fixtures. He hit five half-centuries during the campaign.
Promoted
Devdutt Padikkal (473) scored the most runs for RCB.
The IPL 2021 is to begin from April 9, in which the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will face RCB.
