IPL 2021 is scheduled to start next month and most of the teams have started their preparations for the tournament. Mumbai Indians (MI) has also gone into practice mode, with the defending champions taking the field for a grueling training session. “The Hustle is on”, shouted on the official Twitter handle of the five-time IPL champion on Tuesday, a set of photographs from the day’s training. The bowlers featured bowler Jayant Yadav, all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar and batsman Anmolpreet Singh practicing as the team’s Director of Operations, with Zaheer Khan keeping an eye on the proceedings.

Next to Zaheer, the team’s batting coach Robin Singh is engrossed in his mobile phone.

Some more photos from the session show Chris Lynn doing stretching and then some batting practice.

Fans remember Jaspreet Bumrah in the photos, in which a user tweeted: “Boom Boom (sic), and immediately after another tweet:” Where’s Bumumah ??? (sic) “

Some fans even had a word of advice for Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun.

“Play Arjun against RCB. Hit the left arrow of the deck. Virat has a weakness against his left arm. Let’s try him.

Another fan suggested that Zaheer should take care of Arjun.

“Hope Zaheer can take care of his fellow lieutenant Arjun. He is going to be an interesting element in MI this year. So excited to see his game.”

MI captain Rohit Sharma joined the team on Monday. A car appeared on the official Twitter handle with Rohit entering the hotel.

Rohit was part of the Indian ODI team that defeated England 2–1 in a three-match series.

Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav – other MI players who were part of the Indian team – also joined the team on Monday.

MI will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the season opener on 9 April in Chennai.
