Indian Premier League: “Locked, Loaded and Fire”, Rajasthan Royals’ Rahul Tewatiya ready for IPL 2018

With the start of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rajasthan Royals (RR) will aim for a better campaign. RR is at the bottom of the table during IPL 2020 with six wins and eight defeats. In IPL 2021, Rahul Tewatia will be an important figure for the franchise. The all-rounder was a revelation last season, due to his batting approach in the middle order. RR took to Instagram to share a training video of Teotia, where he can be seen showing off his wide shots during a net session. Due to his fiery performances during IPL 2020, Teotia also received his first call-up to the Indian cricket team in their recent T20I series vs England. Despite the call-up, Tewatia did not feature in any fixtures during the five-match series, which India won 3–2.

Last season, the 27-year-old scored 255 runs in 14 matches, with a high score of 53. He also hit 13 fours and 17 sixes. While bowling, the spinner took 10 wickets.

Tewatia made his IPL debut in 2014 and has scored 366 runs in 34 matches since then. He has also scored a half-century during his entire IPL career. Also, he has taken 24 wickets in the league.

IPL 2021 is scheduled to begin on 9 April, with Mumbai Indians (MI) facing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the season. Rajasthan Royals (RR) will play their first match on April 12, when they face the Punjab Kings.
