West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard on Wednesday began training with the Mumbai Indians team for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. Pollard donated the jersey of Mumbai Indians and announced his arrival. “Pollard is here”, the all-rounder said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians, in which fans can be asked about the whereabouts of the West Indies cricketer. Earlier in the day, ANI had reported that Pollard finished its seven-day quarantine and was ready to train.

He said, “He left the West Indies and joined the MI unit in Chennai. He has completed his quarantine period set by the BCCI Standard Operating Procedure and that is why he was not seen in MI training activities,” West Indies all-rounder told ANI.
The IPL SOP only waives players who were part of the India-England limited-overs series and went straight from mandatory quarantine to their IPL bio-bubble.

The Mumbai Indians outfit faced a scare on Tuesday after testing positive for COVID-19 by scout and wicket-keeping consultant Kiran More. But fortunately, the test came negative on the players and the rest of the support staff. But Tuesday’s training session of Mumbai Indians was canceled as a precaution.
