Indian Premier League: “Home is where the heart is”, Loyal Virat Kohli never wants to leave RCB

After joining Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2008, captain Virat Kohli is considered quite loyal to the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise. Although the Indian captain has not yet won any title with RCB, he will perform brilliantly in the upcoming season (IPL 2021). Since 2013, the captain of RCB, Kohli took to Twitter to express his love and dedication to RCB via the club’s Twitter. Posting a cool, stunning photo of Kohli, RCB also wrote about what the cricketers think of the club. Kohli and RCB had a duel trip in IPL 2020, which was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the increasing COVID-19 cases in India. While finishing fourth during the league stage, they reached the playoffs but lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Eliminator.

During the league phase, RCB won seven matches and also lost fixtures of the same number.

Kohli will hope to do consistently well for RCB in the coming season, and contend for the title better.

The captain has played 192 IPL matches so far, scoring 5878 runs with a high score of 113. He has also recorded five tons and 39 fifties.

He is the highest run-scorer in IPL history, ahead of Suresh Raina and David Warner, who are second and third.

IPL 2021 is scheduled to begin on 9 April, with defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) facing RCB as the season opener.
