Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a picture of himself with wife Dhanashree Verma, sporting a wide smile. “Loving me and loving the glow on his face,” Chahal wrote, appreciating what an effect his infectious smile was having on him. Chahal and Dhanashree got married in December last year and the couple recently released their wedding film, which became a huge hit on YouTube.

Chahal is currently in Chennai where RCB are scheduled to play their first three league matches. RCB will begin their IPL 2021 campaign against defending champions Mumbai Indians on 9 April, which will be Chahal’s 100th match in the cash-rich league.

Punjab Kings batsman Chris Gayle also reacted to Chahal’s post and posted some emojis, while Dhanashree also used some emojis for the pair.

Chahal was one of the demonstrators standing for RCB in the previous edition in the UAE, taking 21 wickets in 15 matches. Known for their spin-friendly pitches at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chahal will be keen to go out there and perform and put his side in the tournament, as they lay their hands on the elusive title.

The 30-year-old spinner has been one of the mainstays of RCB’s bowling attack. He has taken 121 wickets in 99 IPL matches and the one who has stood out over the years, has an average economy of 7.67 runs per over, especially when M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where he has played most of the matches of IPL, is famous for high score games.
