As a major relief for Mumbai Indians players and support staff, all their test results for coronovirus have been negative despite scout and wicket-keeping consultant Kiran More being reported to be COVID-19 positive. The defending champions are busy training in Chennai ahead of the inaugural match of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League, to be played against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday. ANI has reliably known that the Mumbai Indians training session was canceled for Tuesday and all players and support staff tested the COVID-19 tests as Peacock was with them at the same hotel in Chennai. Fortunately, all the test results have come and they are negative.
Is currently asymptomatic and is isolated according to health guidelines issued by the BCCI. The Mumbai Indians official handle tweeted, “Mumbai Indians and Kiran More have complied with all the BCCI health guidelines. The MI medical team will continue to monitor Mor’s health and follow the BCCI protocol.”
The BCCI SOP states: “Players / support personnel who test positive for COVID-19 must be isolated in a designated area outside the bio-safe environment for at least 10 days from the first day of symptoms or collection. Sampling date resulting in a positive RT-PCR report, whichever is earlier. “
Things did not look very bright in Mumbai, as some groundstaff members tested positive for coronavirus at the Wankhede Stadium. Sources in the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) confirmed the development on Tuesday.
A MCA source told ANI, “Two more groundstaff members and a plumber returned on Monday with positive Kovid-19 results. Earlier, 10 ground staff members tested positive for Kovid in Wankhede … Wankhede Stadium There is a clubhouse inside. ” All groundstaff will be present there till the end of Mumbai leg to conduct the IPL smoothly. “
Wankhede Stadium is set to host 10 IPL games this season from 10-25 April.

The first match at the stadium is to be played between Delhi’s capital and Chennai Super Kings on Saturday.
