India, Pakistan, China to participate in SCO’s joint counter-terrorism exercise this year

During the 36th meeting of the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structures Council held in Uzbekistan on 18 March, it was decided to hold a joint exercise ‘Pabbi-Entitator-2021’.

India, Pakistan, China and other members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will conduct a joint anti-terrorism exercise this year, the eight-member bloc said.

During the 36th meeting of the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structures Council (RATS) held in Tashkent, Tashkent on 18 March, it was decided to hold a joint exercise “Pabbi-Entitator-2021”.

At the meeting, representatives of SCO member countries also approved the draft program of cooperation for 2022-2024 to combat terrorism, separatism and extremism.

According to a report by the news agency Xinhua, China’s state Xinhua news agency reported to RATS that cooperation between the competent authorities of SCO member states to identify and suppress the channels that financed the terrorist activities of the channel Decisions have been taken to improve.

Representatives from competent officials of India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and RATS Executive Committee attended the meeting, Xinhua said.

The RATS, headquartered in Tashkent, is a permanent part of the SCO that works to promote member states’ cooperation against terrorism, separatism and extremism.

The SCO is an economic and security defect in which India and Pakistan were recruited as full members in 2017. Its founding members included China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The next meeting of the Council of RATS SCO is to be held in Uzbekistan in September.
