“The BCCI will continue to follow all regulations imposed to prevent the spread of the Kovid-19 virus and will always keep the health and safety of its fans and stakeholders at the top.
“Those who have purchased tickets for any or all three T20Is will be returned and the process for the same will be announced,” the release said.
The Gujarat Cricket Association also issued a statement. GCA Vice President Dhanraj Nathwani said, “Due to the increasing COVID-19 cases, the remaining T20 International matches between India and England will be played without spectators at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Refunds will be given to the spectators.” , in a statement.
He said that those who got free tickets are requested not to visit the stadium.
The first two T20I viewers of the series were capped at 50 percent of the stadium’s capacity. However, the number of spectators allowed inside the stadium was also significant, with the stadium having a capacity of 1.32 lakhs.
The last three T20Is are scheduled to take place on 16, 18 and 20 March. The five-match series is tied 1–1 as India won the second T20I after winning the first T20 on Friday.

In the test series prior to T20I, spectators were allowed for the last three Tests as the first match was played behind closed doors in Chennai.
