Virat Kohli played the unbeaten 77-ball unbeaten 77 off 46 balls in the third T20I against England and earned the applause of actor Ranveer Singh and former cricketers. “Chiku on Fire !!!!” Tweeted to Ranveer. Kohli is often referred to by his surname Chiku. Kohli’s innings helped India score 156 for 6 to bat first by England captain Eoin Morgan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 101 runs came in the last 10 overs of the innings as the Indian batsmen struggled in the powerplay. Only Rishabh Pant (25) and Hardik Pandya (17) could support Kohli.

Special from Kohli. Commentator Harsha Bhogle said that we have seen a lot of them and yet, it was jaw dropping.

Kohli made a cautious start before going into overdrive in the last five overs. With Hardik Pandya unusually slow to leave the mark at the other end, Kohli himself took the responsibility to accelerate to the death.
He hit Chris Jordan and Mark Wood for fours and sixes all around the field, with the trademark shot of the innings in the 18th over when Kohli leaped over Wood, all fencing at long off for sixes. Granted.
He hit Wood for 6, 4, 4 in the 18th over, followed by four to Joffra Archer in the next over and another four to Chris Jordan in the final over.
