India and England set a new record for most sixes in a three-match ODI series on Sunday. The record was broken in the third ODI at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. In the third ODI, the Indian batsmen cleaned up the fans 11 times in their innings, as the hosts were dismissed for 329 runs.
Rishabh Pant, who scored the most 78 runs for India, hit four sixes during his 62-ball knock, while Hardik Pandya also bowled cleanly four times as he blocked his half-century. The remaining sixes came off the bat of Shardul Thakur, who scored 30 runs off 21 balls.
Earlier, the record was held by New Zealand and Sri Lanka as the players of both teams hit a total of 57 sixes during the three-match ODI series in 2019.

India and England are in third place after both teams hit 56 sixes in a three-match ODI series in 2017.
In the second ODI of the series, Ben Stokes had hit 10 sixes as he hit 99 off just 52 balls.
