Eoin Morgan added another feather with his stunning hat on Tuesday as he was England’s first male cricketer to play 100 T20Is overall. The left-handed batsman achieved the feat in the third T20I against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor, Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik, and Indian opener Rohit Sharma are the other three players who have played more than 100 T20 matches. Interestingly, India captain Virat Kohli, who has played 88 T20I matches, has scored the most runs in the shortest format of the game. Kohli became the first batsman to score 3,000 runs in T20Is on Sunday.
New Zealand’s Martin Guptill is second on the list of leading run-scorers in T20I cricket, scoring 2,839 runs in 99 matches while India’s opener Rohit is third with 2,773 runs in 108 matches.
England captain Morgan is still far behind, scoring 2,306 T20Is at a strike rate of 138.99. The left-handed batsman has scored 14 half-centuries in T20I.
Meanwhile, England won the toss and were selected to field in the third T20I. Viewers made a change in their lineup to Mark Wood replacing Tom Curran.
India also made a change in their lineup as the Kohli-led team brought Rohit in place of Suryakumar Yadav.

Speaking in the toss, Morgan said: “Glad to play my 100th game, a big day for me and my family.”
On Monday, the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) along with the BCCI announced that the remaining three T20Is would be played behind closed doors, given the number of rising Kovid-19 cases in the country.
