England players have been fined 20 per cent of match fees for maintaining a slow over rate against India in the fourth T20 International in Ahmedabad. ICC’s elite panel match referee Javagal Srinath approved that Eoin Morgan’s side was decided to fall short of the target after the time allowance was noted at the Narendra Modi Stadium. According to Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Person, which deals with minimum over-rate offenses, players were fined 20 per cent of their match fees for all time bowling in the allotted time. India won the match by eight runs on Thursday night to tie the five-match series 2–2, paving the way for the winner-take-it-all finals game at the same venue on Saturday

Morgan pleaded guilty to the crime and accepted the proposed approval, so there was no need for a formal hearing.
On-field umpires KN Ananthapadmanabhan, Nitin Menon, and third umpire Virender Sharma made the allegations.
