England star batsman Jose Butler’s priority is to open up the batting but he has kept his options open as some teams may ask him to bat elsewhere in T20 cricket. Butler is making his batting debut for England in the T20I series against India. The right-handed batsman gave the audience an easy win on Tuesday with his sensational 83-run knock off 52 balls. Butler said in a virtual press conference, “I don’t know if it’ll ever end (the batting debate opening), people have a lot of fun talking about it. I’ll definitely feel the pressure of it.”
He said, “Yes, opening the batting is my priority in T20. I think it’s the best place to bat for most people. But I’m always open-minded. Some teams ask me to bat elsewhere Can say.
Butler said that in T20 cricket the opening is the best place to bat and captain Eoin Morgan wants him to open for England. The wicketkeeper batsman also said that he has full support of Morgan which gives him a lot of confidence.
Butler said, “We have a lot of people who would love to bat in that starting position. For most people, this is probably the best place to bat.”

“With every single player, Eoin is always very clear about what he expects of them and how much he gives them back to do that job. Right now he wants me to open up the batting and he gives me 100 percent support so that I get a lot. ” Confidently, ”he said.
With the victory in the third T20I, England have now taken a 2–1 lead in the five-match series. Both teams will now clash in the fourth T20I on Thursday which will be played at the same venue.
