IND vs ENG 1st ODI: Krunal Pandya takes the cap from Bhai Hardik Pandya, makes his ODI debut with Pris Krishna. The clock

India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya led Bhai Krunal to victory in his first ODI against England in Pune in the first match. Tejapratap Krishna also received his first hat before his debut. While Krunal has represented India in T20 internationals, the game is Krishna’s international debut. The Indian Cricket Board tweeted a video of the team’s thunder before the toss, in which both received their caps.

Interestingly, in this game the two pair brothers will appear against each other. While India have the Pandya brothers as their all-rounders, England have picked both Tom Curren and Sam Curran.

India have also named Kuldeep Yadav in their playing XI, Yuzvendra Chahal is missing, while KL Rahul returned to the team as wicketkeeper, Rishabh Pant rested.

England won the toss and contested the arena at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

India captain Virat Kohli said that he is happy with the result and has opted to bat which was in his favor.
