Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala and a politburo member of the Communist Party of Marxist, is a prominent campaigner of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the Kerala Assembly elections. He is also contesting from Dharmadom constituency in Kannur for the second time. Demanding a mandate for his return to power, he launched a front-run campaign in Wayanad earlier this week. Mr. Vijayan talks to Hindu on the LDF coming to power in Kerala and the importance of this election.
