Disney+ is launching another new series to binge on with Pam & Tommy arriving on the streaming platform today. The must-watch show is based on the true story of Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy Lee’s whirlwind romance which saw them marry within 96 hours of first meeting.
We all know what happened next with the couple’s private honeymoon sex tape being stolen by electrician Rand Gauthier and then posted online. It will go down in history as one of the very first videos to go viral.
The story follows the fallout of the leak and the characters behind one of the biggest celebrity scandals of the 90s. The series features an all-star cast including Lily James as Pamela Anderson, Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee and Seth Rogen as Gauthier.
If you fancy tuning into Pam & Tommy then it’s available from today on Disney+.
This streaming service is available on most smart TVs, tablets, consoles, phones and devices such as Amazon’s Fire TV.
Access usually costs £7.99 per month but there is a way to get things beamed into your home at a cheaper price.
As long as you are happy to commit for longer than just one month you can sign up for a year’s access for £79.90 – that’s a 15 percent discount. Although you will need to stump up the full amount upfront the cost per month works out at just £6.65 which is a considerable saving over the £7.99 fee.
Of course it’s not just Pam & Tommy that you’ll have access to with Disney+ featuring a raft of content including boxsets and movies from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar and Disney.
If you’re worried about younger members of the family stumbling access to the more adult content on this platform then it’s worth noting that Pam & Tommy is being shown on Disney’s Star section of the service.
This area can be locked behind parental controls with only those knowing a secret four-digit pin able to access it.
Disney says that robust parental controls ensure that Disney+ remains a suitable viewing experience for everyone in the family.
Subscribers can also set access limits on mature content and create PIN-protected profiles, alongside the already existing Kid Profiles, to give parents and guardians peace of mind.
