Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Thursday said it has set up an ‘overseas business’ expansion vertical to accelerate the company’s efforts to make Indian exports a hub.
The company said in a statement, “This major organizational restructuring within Honda 2Wheelers India will add strength to more than 100 associates in various tasks coming together with one objective.”
The new vertical, located at the company’s facility in Manesar, Haryana, had integrated various functions such as sales, engineering, development, purchasing and quality under one roof to create a worldwide-optimal operating system, adding, “New overseas business Workspace 2 will unlock new synergies by integrating Honda’s India export-import sales function with quality, procurement, development, homologations, manufacturing and logistics.

The company said that HMSI exports to 35 different markets in Europe, Central and Latin America, Middle East, South-East Asia, Japan and SAARC countries, supported by the fast motor portfolio expansion and additional overseas allocation by Honda Motor Company (Japan). .
