Last week, chipmaker Qualcomm announced its first smartphone — called Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders — in partnership with Taiwanese smartphone brand Asus.
This device is a premium device launched to cater for the needs of the company’s loyalty programme — called Snapdragon Insiders — members.
At the time of the launch, it was revealed that the Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders will go on sale in India — along with China, Germany, Japan, Korea, the US, and the UK. However, the price for the Indian market wasn’t revealed. Now, Asus’ India official website has listed the price of the handset.

In India, the device is set to be priced at Rs 1,11,990. The listing page currently shows that the device is out of stock and that confirmation is expected to be made official in the coming weeks.
We also expect some launch offers from the brand to make it a more promising buy.
At this price, the Qualcomm-Asus Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders takes on the flagship-premium handsets such as iPhone 12 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G and other premium handsets.

With this handset, Qualcomm has tried its hand at showcasing its technologies. It comes powered by the company’s flagship SoC — Snapdragon 888 5G — making it 5G enabled. It also offers Wi-Fi 6/6E support. It boasts additional features like Snapdragon Elite Gaming, Game Quick Touch and others for a better gaming experience. For imaging, it comes equipped with the Qualcomm Spectra 580 ISP with gigapixel processing speeds.
For audio, the handset comes bundled with TWS earbuds that are equipped with Snapdragon Sound.
Specs-wise, it offers a 6.78-inch fullHD+ Samsung AMOLED display. It houses a triple rear camera setup of 64MP+12MP+8MP on the back and a 24MP camera on the front. Backed by a 4000mAh battery, it offers 512GB UFS 3.1 storage and 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
