Government.  Delhi BJP informs land use change for office

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on Wednesday notified the land use change for a plot on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg for the proposed office of the Delhi BJP unit, paving the way for the project to start.

When asked for comment on the likely date of its construction, a senior Delhi BJP leader said that it is likely to be in use by the end of 2021.

While the Center had already allotted land for its office to the Delhi BJP, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) started the process on November 3, 2015 to change the land use of the 809 square meter plot from the “Residential Nursery School” was. According to party sources, while the built-up area of ​​the new office will be slightly higher than its current office on Pandit Pant Marg, the new one, however, will be slightly smaller in overall area than its current state headquarters.

As per the ministry notification on Wednesday, the DDA had sought suggestions and objections for a period of 30 days and one such proposal was submitted.

The change was approved by the DDA on 10 February.
