Google Pixel: Call recording for Google Phone app coming to Pixel devices: Report – morningtidings

The call recording feature in Google’s Phone app is going to come to Pixel devices around the world, claims a report by 9to5Google, based on posts by Twitter user Jay Prakash. As per the tweet, the feature has arrived in Google Pixel 4a in India. With this feature enabled, the calling panel adds a new “Record” button as soon as the call gets connected to the other side. To see whether you have got the feature on your phone, open the Google Phone app, go to Settings and you should see the Call Recording option there.

The call recording feature also comes with an auto-delete option for the saved recordings. You could set any recording to get deleted automatically after 7,14 or 30 days. Or you can keep them for as long as you want.
It seems like the call recording feature is being rolled out slowly across the globe as some of the European countries like the UK and France haven’t reportedly got the feature yet.
Meanwhile, Google has released the fourth beta of Android 12. The latest beta update brings some important visual improvements and minor tweaks to the operating system. In the latest beta version of Android 12, the images are highlighted in the multitasking menu. You just have to tap on the image to access shortcuts for Google Lens, copy, share and save. You can also drag the image to pull it to the contacts for quick sharing. With the fourth beta, the Google logo also gets a Material You makeover with four primary colours from the wallpaper. The tech giant has also added simple toggle buttons to turn off the mobile data and Wi-Fi.
