NEW DELHI: Google Pixel 5a is coming soon. In April this year, Google confirmed that it will launch the Pixel 5a later this year. A Bloomberg report in June, revealed that the company will launch the smartphone in August. Now, a new online report suggests that the new Pixel smartphone will launch on August 26.
According to an online report by FrontPage Tech, Google will launch the Pixel 5a on August 26 ahead of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro launch. Along with the launch date, the report also revealed the specifications of the upcoming Pixel smartphone. The Pixel 5a is said to come with the same camera specifications as the last year launched Pixel 5. However, the smartphone is not said to include wireless charging support.
Google Pixel 5a expected specifications
Google Pixel 5a is said to come with a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The smartphone is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is said to pack 128GB internal storage.
Google Pixel 5a is expected to come with Android 11 out-of-the box and will receive Android 12 update later this year. The dual SIM smartphone is said to house a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The mid-range Pixel smartphone is expected to sport a dual rear camera with 12MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 16MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture. The front is said to house an 8MP selfie camera with ultra-wide angle lens.
Google Pixel 5a is said to come with IP67 rating which will make the smartphone water and sweat-resistant. The handset is also expected to come with stereo speakers and two microphones.
Google Pixel 5a is said to house a 4650mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
The smartphone is said to come in Mostly Black colour option and is rumoured to be priced at $450 (Rs 33,345). It is still not clear if the company will launch the smartphone in India.
