Google blocks Duma’s YouTube channel after latest US sanctions on Moscow

The US tech big – which owns YouTube – mentioned it’s dedicated to upholding “all relevant sanctions and commerce compliance legal guidelines”. The transfer drew an indignant response from the Duma’s chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, who accused the USA of making an attempt to attain a “monopoly of knowledge”.

“It’s one other proof of Washington’s violation of rights and freedoms,” he instructed Russian information company Tass.

“Washington is ignoring all of the rules of democracy to guarantee that all platforms current solely the US place.”

A Google spokesman mentioned: “If we discover that an account violates our phrases of service, we take acceptable motion.

The transfer comes after YouTube final month eliminated a Russian prank channel which ran clips of hoax calls, purportedly from Ukrainian ministers, to UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace and Dwelling Secretary Priti Patel.
