Gold prices fall to ₹ 208;  up to 602 silver

Silver rose to ₹ 68,194 per kg.

According to HDFC Securities, gold prices fell by ₹ 208 to 44,768 per 10 grams in the national capital on Wednesday.

The precious metal had closed at Rs 44,976 per 10 grams in the previous trading session.

On the other hand, silver rose from ₹ 602 to 4 68,194 per kg, while the previous closed hand was 67,592 per kg.

HDFC Securities senior analyst (commodities) Tapan Patel said, “The spot prices for 24-carat gold in Delhi declined to fall 208 with the fall in global gold prices and appreciation of the rupee.” He said that the rupee was strengthening by about 45 paise against the dollar during the day.

In the international market, gold was trading at a low of $ 1,730 an ounce and silver was also marginally lower at $ 26.68 an ounce.
