According to HDFC Securities, gold in the national capital fell from 291 to 44,059 per 10 grams on Friday.
In previous trade, it had closed at 44,350 per 10 grams.
In previous trade, silver also ranged from ₹ 1,096 to ₹ 65,958 per kg, ₹ 67,054 per kg.
The Indian rupee was trading up 20 paise to 72.71 against the US dollar in early deals on Friday.
In the international market, both gold and silver traded at $ 1,707 per ounce and $ 25.67 per ounce, respectively.
“Gold prices fell on Friday, with the dollar recovering on some weekly gains,” said Tapan Patel, senior analyst (commodities) at HDFC Securities.
