According to HDFC Securities, gold prices rose from ₹ 112 to ₹ 44,286 per 10 grams in the national capital on Wednesday, with the rupee depreciating.
In the previous trade, the precious metal had closed at the 44,174 per 10 grams.
Silver also rose from 126 to 23 66,236 per kg in previous trade.
In the international market, gold was marginally flat at $ 1,711 an ounce and silver flat at $ 25.78 an ounce.
HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “Gold prices closed with a slight decline at COMEX (New York-based commodity exchange). A rise in equity indices and firm dollars could boost precious metals for the day. . ”
