Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenig told German media that he had “made it very clear” for the Hansi flick on Sunday that the coach would not be relieved of his contract to succeed Joachim Löw, in charge of Germany . In an interview with the Welt am Sontag newspaper, Rummangay said, “It has nothing to do with probability, it is a fact.” The 56-year-old flick has been named as the favorite to depart from Germany’s boss Loew when the 61-year-old ends his 15-year spell as the national team in charge after this summer’s European Championship.
Bayern was coach Lowe’s assistant coach when Germany won the World Cup in 2014 before serving as the German FA (DFB) sports director between 2014 and 2017.
Yet on Sunday, Rumminge said that the DFB had assured him that they would not propose to bring Bayern coach back to the national team.
Byrne’s CEO said, “DFB President Fritz Keller once again confirmed to me in a phone call, saying he hoped Flick would see his contract, which lasts until 2023.”
“I told Laughter that we are very happy with that, and that we would be well advised to fulfill our contractual agreement. I made it clear without thinking,” Rummenges said.
Bayern are keen to get a grip on the flick, which took the club into crisis in 2019 and took them to the League, Cup and Champions League treble of their first season in charge.
Yet tensions between the flick and sports director Hassan Salihmedik have sparked speculation in recent weeks.
Flick spoke publicly about the differences between the pair, before apologizing for some harsh words he had spoken to his sports director on the team bus a few days earlier, which had been leaked to the press.
Rummenig sought to play under Spat on Sunday, comparing recent tensions inside the British royal family in an interview with Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

Byrne’s CEO jokingly said, “I call it a family affair, and we should be no worse than the royal family in England.”
“Bayern is a large family, and the things that happen inside the family should remain inside the family,” he said.
