Galaxy S22: The date Samsung doesn’t want you to know has just been revealed

Samsung might’ve already launched its mid-range Galaxy S21 FE this year, but the smartphone we’re all waiting for is the flagship Galaxy S22. Despite endless leaks revealing exactly how this phone will look, the Korean technology firm had managed to keep its official release date tightly under wraps. Well, that was until this week when top tech tipster Evan Blass spoiled the surprise and revealed the launch date that Samsung was desperately trying to keep quiet.

According to Blass, who has a habit of getting these things correct, Samsung will reveal the Galaxy S22 to the world on February 9 at one of its famous Unpacked events.

To make matters worse, he has even managed to get his hands on what appears to be an official invite with an image posted on Twitter showing a letter S with the words “The Epic standard” written underneath.

If this leak is accurate, fans only have a few weeks left to wait and see what Samsung has in store for this top-end device. It certainly looks like it could be an exciting launch with the S22 range thought to include standard and larger Plus models that will sit alongside a new Ultra device.

This more premium phone looks set to feature a giant screen, massive camera upgrade and the return of the S Pen stylus. Yes, that’s great news for anyone who has been missing the Galaxy Note series which was retired back in 2020.

Other features we’re expecting across the entire range includes an improved processor, brighter display, faster charging and a refreshed design that could get a glossy appearance.

Along with the leaks about a release date, there have also been some whispers on price and it’s not good news with some experts expecting the S22 to be slightly more expensive than the current Galaxy S21.

Unconfirmed rumours suggest the Galaxy S22 will start from around €912 which is considerably more than Samsung’s €879 pricing for last year’s S21.

We’ll have to wait and see exactly if any of these leaks and rumours are correct but if Blass has got his dates spot on then we can expect Samsung to announce an official launch date in the coming days.
