Michigan State coach Tom Izzo and Spartans player Gab Brown had a heated exchange in their first four games Thursday vs. HCLA at halftime. Izdo also grabbed Brown’s hand and jersey as he made his way through the tunnel at Purdue’s Mackie Arena.
Izzo was embarrassed after the defense allowed a wide-open buzzer-3-pointer. Full Event:

TBS’s Allie LaForce reported that the Spartans were “able to solve it” and then began preparations for the second half.
Ezzo made headlines in the 2019 NCAA tournament when he and Aaron Henry went on court together. Izzo was still excited after the game when reporters asked him about it.
“I get a kick from you guys, get after someone because you’re trying to hold them accountable,” he had said. “I don’t know what kind of business you’re in, but let me tell you that if I was the head of a newspaper, and you didn’t do your job, you’d be held accountable. It’s the same way.”
Those who have played for Izado, including Drummond Green – who defended Izzo two years ago – know it is part of the deal in East Lansing.

This was one of the parts of Izzo’s coaching style that I respected the most. That situation of going into the tunnel was nothing! He allows his players to challenge him and he is coming back to you! I’m sure he was promoting after all the bets
