The Karnataka Council of Karnataka Council of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) presented its awards to eight individuals / institutions during the Karnataka Coastline Business Conclave 2021 held here on Sunday.
Minister of Medium and Large Scale Industries Jagdish Shettar presented the awards.
New Mangaluru Port Trust (NMPT) was awarded the “Outstanding Leadership Award” for establishing Mangaluru as the gateway to Karnataka. Trust Chairman Venkata Ramana Akkaraju received the award.
Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) was awarded the “Outstanding Leadership Award” for establishing coastal Karnataka as the country’s strategic energy security sector. MRPL Managing Director M. Venkatesh received the award.
Nite Deemed, Nite Deemed, Nite Deemed, were awarded the “Lifelong Contribution Award” for being a university, to make coastal Karnataka an education center.
The “Outstanding Contribution Award” was presented to four individuals. He is Ushaprabha Nayak, Vice President, Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru, to nurture the coastal region as an education hub; Pradeep Ji Pai, Managing Director, Hangio Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd., to develop the coastal region in the ice cream region of the country; Surendra Kamath and Sons, Karkala, to make the coastal area a cashew processing center; And Vatika Pa, head, Nirmala Travels, Mangaluru, for being a young female leader of industry and commerce in the coastal region.
The “Social Entrepreneurship Award” was announced for Padmanabh Kamath, who has established a Cardiology and Doorstep (CAD) Foundation and established a network of ECG machines and is saving many lives.
