Agitating farmers blocked the 135-km-long Kundali-Manesar-Palwal Expressway at several places on Saturday in protest against the call of farmer unions against the farmers’ laws. The protests caused traffic snarls and variations at many points.
In the wake of the call of Samyukta Kisan Morcha, a united front of the peasant unions, the protesting farmers gathered at several points along the road and blocked the road around 11 am to block the highway for five hours. As per early reports, Sonepat and Jhajjar had two pointers each.

In Jhajjar, farmers made blockades in Badli and Aasoda and traffic was diverted at ten points. However, Jhajjar police claimed that the flow of traffic is smooth.
Manesar Deputy Commissioner of Police Varun Singla said that traffic going towards the KMP Expressway was diverted to Farrukhnagar in Gurugram in view of the blockade in Jhajjar to avoid traffic jam and inconvenience to passengers.
SKM had announced that they would make blockades on the KMP Expressway from 11 am to 4 pm and make all toll plazas free.
