‘Women are facing many difficulties while achieving self-sufficiency and financial independence’
Superintendent of Police of Vizianagaram b. The princess on Friday asked government and private organizations to set up internal complaints to get committees to prevent harassment at the workplace and other problems occurring to women. She participated as the chief guest in the program of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development on women empowerment and challenges.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that women faced many difficulties while achieving self-sufficiency and financial independence. Ms. Princess felt that women would perform better when they were free from problems and gender inequality in the workplace.
Assistant General Manager of NABARD P. Harish said that many women from rural and tribal areas are leading a happy life with the training programs being organized by the bank for self-help groups. He said that many farmer-producing organizations were established to improve the skills and marketing techniques of SHG members. District Medical and Health Officer SV Ramankumari urged women to balance both family life and economic activity as mother’s care is very important for children to become good citizens.
Mission for Eradication of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA) Project Director. Sugankara Rao assured to organize a special exhibition for SGH to sell its products in Vizianagaram. ARTS Director N Sanyasi Rao urged women to regularly participate in training programs to improve their skills and economic resources.
