On March 12, a flying squad led by Junior Engineer, NHAI, Marimuthu and SSI attached to Utiyapuram Police Station, Murugan, and the vehicle of Kadambapatti Raju, the minister and AIADMK Kovilpatti candidate, were examined near Uthupatti Junction. However, the District Election Officer and Collector K. Senthil Raj said on Sunday that all officers posted for election duty will discharge their duties in an independent and impartial manner as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India. “All officers on election duty will continue in one place,” he said.
