Durham players practiced for the upcoming county championship amid heavy snowfall. Durham Cricket tweeted with a video, “Less than 48 hours, when players are seen in a net session in a video.” The County Championship is set to make its first round debut on 8 April in Northamptonshire with Kent, Essex playing, Essex face Sussex against Worcestershire, Lancashire, Middlesex playing Somerset, Leicestershire facing Hampshire Kiya, playing Gloucestershire for Glory, Yorkshire played Glamorgan, Warwickare. Derbyshire and Durham taking on Nottinghamshire in Nottingham.

Located in Group 1, Durham is scheduled to compete with Derbyshire, Essex, Worcestershire, Birmingham and Nottingham.

Group 2 consists of Surrey, Somerset, Middlesex, Leicestershire, Hampshire and Gloucestershire.

Group 3 consists of Northamptonshire, Lancashire, Kent, Sussex, Glamorgan and Yorkshire.

The subsequent rounds of the first-class championship will be played on April 15, 22 and the matches of the remaining rounds will be played from May 29 to September.

According to media reports, India’s cricketer Hanuma Vihari has tied up with Warwickshire for the county championship this season.

The right-handed batsman has left for the UK and will play for the county in at least three matches this season.

A BCCI official told news agency PTI on Tuesday, “Vihari will play English Warriors for Warwickshire this season. He will play some games. He is already in England.”

“The contract is being terminated. He will play at least three games. We are trying to find out if there is a chance to play something else.”
