Drug maker Dr. Reddy’s laboratories said it has entered into an agreement with ABCD Technologies LLP, an industry digital initiative to promote efficiency in the pharma supply chain. It is contributing ₹ 40 crore to the firm, which has been renamed IndoHealth Services LLP.
The overall contribution is scalable with the same share of profit / loss corresponding to the contribution of the other partners. For now, it accounts for 20% of the profit / loss in the firm, Dr. Reddy said, adding that there is a regulatory filing.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Lupine, Cadila Healthcare and Torrent Pharma are other pharmaceutical manufacturers that have recently entered into such partnership agreements with ABCD Technologies.
Dr. Reddy said that the transaction is in line with the strategy of accelerating access and affordability of medicines for all and leveraging digital technology and infrastructure for this. The proposed business of ABCD Technologies will be taken forward with the objective of facilitating the digitization of healthcare infrastructure in India to enhance good distribution practices, including support for the National Digital Health Mission of the Center.
ABCD Technologies will be the holding entity through another LLP or subsidiaries and conduct business.
