Digital Lab for HYSEA Program

In collaboration with Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) and Nirma Organization, UST, a digital transformation solution company, has set up a digital lab at a Women and Child Welfare Department (WCWD) service house in Ameerpet.

The initiative was in support of HYSEA’s disruptive digital intervention (DDI) program with Nirma as knowledge and implementation partner.

The DDI program serves as a source of learning, supporting students and young women from vulnerable backgrounds to promote their well-being and digital literacy.

A release stated that the lab is equipped with desktop computers, furniture, power back-up, computer accessories, high-speed broadband internet connection, projector room with digital resources and a salaried IT teacher.

It is expected to help about 300 service home students, who are studying polytechnics, to learn the basics of computers.

“We feel that there is an association with HYSEA, the Niraman Organization and the Department of Women and Child Welfare to spread digital literacy and empower young girls. This collaboration aligns with UST’s vision to create impact and change lives through digital transformation, ”said Harilal Neelakantan, Head, UST Hyderabad Center.

WCWD Commissioner Divya Devarajan, HYSEA President Bharani Kumar Arol along with Nirman and UST’s leadership and CSR team attended the inauguration of the facility.

Mr.Aroll said that the DDI initiative, launched in 2017, has been successful mainly because of the support of HYSEA member companies such as UST. The program reaches over 13,500 students from government schools and aims to take it to over 50,000 students.
