Kannada hero Vatal Nagraj has demanded a CBI probe into the “CD scandal”, which has shaken the politics of Karnataka.
Speaking after former minister Ramesh Jharkholi’s involvement in the alleged scam and participating in a demonstration in Mysuru on Wednesday against rising fuel prices, Mr. Nagaraj said that the “CD scandal” is a wheel that swept through politics in Karnataka Its going on. “Who will be trapped in the wheel is not known, but the wheel is trying to disappear,” he said.
He said that the state government should order a CBI inquiry into the matter from the Center. He cautioned the state government to investigate it on its own.
“The government should recommend a CBI probe or Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa should step down from his post.”
Referring to the claims of “2-3-4” made by Mr. Zharkiholi, Mr. Vatal Nagaraja sought clarification about the reference. “Give an explanation. Do not mislead the people of the state, he said that the people of the state Should know who was behind the “CD”.
Mr. Nagaraja overshadowed Mr. Yeddyurappa and said that the BJP leaders were only concerned about stopping his government from falling and accused him of having no faith in democracy.
He saw the present government as the “worst” Karnataka.
