Delhi High Court issues ED summons to Mehbooba Mufti

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday stayed an interim stay on the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate to former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, his lawyer said.

The matter came up for hearing before the bench of Justices Siddharth Mridul and Hairam Bhambhani. The court asked the ED not to press for his personal appearance and posted the case for March 19.

The PDP leader challenged the validity of the summons issued by the ED to be produced before it on March 15, without specifying the matter being investigated. She asked the court to quash the summons, her lawyer S Prasanna said.
