  • Apple MacBook Pro Top-End Laptops & Mac Mini With M2 Chip To Debut Later This Year: Report

San Francisco: Apple is likely to ramp up its Mac portfolio with high-end MacBook Pros and Mac mini with M2 silicon chip later this year. The M2 products currently includes the 13-inch MacBook Pro and the revamped MacBook Air. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, there will be a “major bump” in MacBook sales. Apple Sold Over 1.2 Million iPhones in India in Q2, Records 94% Growth.

“Apple will get more momentum from the launch of new Mac minis and high-end MacBook Pros later this year,” he said late on Sunday.

Earlier reports mentioned that M2 Pro and M2 Max-equipped MacBook Pro models will arrive by the fall. The new Mac models will offer better internal specifications rather than receiving any major transformations. For Mac, Apple generated revenue of $7.4 billion despite supply constraints and negative effects in the June quarter.

Mac revenues were down by 10 per cent owing to supply chain constraints and unfavourable foreign exchange rates. Apple last month released a redesigned MacBook Air powered by the company’s M2 chip.

“M2 delivers a faster CPU, GPU, and neural engine along with higher memory bandwidth and new capabilities like Pro Res acceleration. And it continues the tremendous pace of innovation in Apple silicon for the Mac,” according to Apple CEO Tim Cook. “iPad, like Mac, continued to see strong demand during the June quarter despite ongoing supply constraints,” the Apple CEO informed.

Admitting that the company continues to have supply constraints with Mac, Cook said that “we’re encouraged by the strong response from customers to our incredible lineup”.

  • Google Pixel 6a Users Report of Faulty Under-Display Fingerprint Sensor That Allows Anybody To Unlock It

San Francisco: As the new Google Pixel 6a is now available more widely, some users have noticed that any fingerprint is able to unlock their new phones in a rather worrying security lapse by the tech giant. According to 9To5Google, last week, two reports emerged about the Pixel 6a’s under-display fingerprint sensor (UDFPS) allowing anybody to unlock it. This includes people that did not register their fingerprints ahead of time. Google Pixel 6a Now Available for Sale in India via Flipkart, Check Offers Here.

Now there are, so far, six additional reports of this occurring. They range from being able to unlock with a different finger that was not registered to being able to unlock another person’s Pixel 6a, the report said.

One person said the issue did not occur again after removing all saved fingerprints and re-adding them. The report mentioned that most buyers do not appear to have this issue with the Pixel 6a.

It is unclear if a new update will resolve the issue or whether there is a deeper hardware problem on affected phones, the report said. This month, a report said that 36 per cent of Google Pixel owners wish to switch to other brands amid issues.
