Daiwa D50U1WOS smart TV: Features
The 50-inch 4K UHD panel supports a multi-HDR format that includes HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma). Its panel claims to offer boosted colour saturation and detailed black levels for a better overall viewing experience.
The TV also supports upscaling and the company claims that the TV can reproduce a low quality visual into 4K resolution.
The 4K Smart TV by Daiwa is calibrated to D6500 colour temperature in the Cinema Mode for a cinema-like viewing experience.
Talking about the audio, the TV claims to bring augmented audio experience with its 20W surround sound box speakers coupled with Dolby Audio sound technology.
The TV is also equipped with MEMC (Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation) technology @ 60Hz for smooth blur-free visuals.
It also supports – ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) that lowers input lag for a smooth gaming experience.
The Smart TV is powered by ARM CA55 1.1 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5 GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
As far as apps are concerned, the TV supports popular OTT platforms that include Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLiv, Zee5, among others,
The TV features Dual-Band Wi-Fi for high-speed connectivity, Miracast and 2 Way Bluetooth 5.0.
The TV comes with a Magic Remote with voice assistance support and it is also compatible with the LG ThinQ app.
We have also said that LG’s webOS is among the best operating systems for smart TVs. The operating system is among the most feature-rich among other operating systems meant for smart TVs. It also supports magic remote which grants users better control over navigation and accessing content. As of now, the OS was limited to LG smart TVs which usually cost much more than the Daiwa one here. It’s greally to see the operating system making its way to a more accessible price point. Though, we cannot say anything about the performance right now, but, overall, we think it’s a good move by Daiwa.
