Countryside Watson responds to sexual harassment lawsuit, focusing on clearing its name

Dehat Watson is denying allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman during a massage.

The Texas quarterback responded to a social media post late Tuesday in which a Houston lawyer, Tony Bujebee, said a lawsuit was filed against Watson. The attorney’s term, which came as ambiguous, did not specifically mention sexual assault or malpractice.

Houston’s Fox26 Report A lawsuit is being filed on behalf of a sexual harassment lawsuit that claimed massage with Watson “went too far.”

Watson posted her response late Tuesday night, stating that she is “focused on clearing her name:”

As a result of a social media post by a publicity lawyer, I came to know of a recent lawsuit that has apparently been filed against me. I have not yet seen a complaint, but I know this: I have never treated a woman in any way other than with the utmost respect. The plaintiff’s lawyer claims that this is not about the money, but before filing a lawsuit he sought a baseless six-figure settlement, which I quickly dismissed. Unlike her, it’s not about money for me – it’s about clearing my name, and I’m eager to do so.

Houston’s well-known lawyer, Buzzi, has been involved in several lawsuits in the area and once said he was a “neighbor” to dead former Texas boss Bob McNair.

Boogeby is also a failed Houston mayoral candidate, who is constantly trying to run against mayor Sylvester Turner in 2019, but falling far short.

Watson, 25, is in the midst of a tumultuous divorce with the Texas organization, with reports that he does not plan to play with the franchise again.
