Congress released photo of BJP worker with car seized by NIA

Alleging that the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making baseless allegations to tarnish the image of Maharashtra and its government, the state unit of Congress on Wednesday released a photo of a BJP worker with a Mercedes car seized by the National Investigation Agency Of NIA). The NIA is investigating a case in which an SUV filled with explosives was found outside the house of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

The BJP denied the allegation that its worker is claiming to be photographed only with the car purchased by his friend.

“Investigation is on by the agency sent by the central government. Why is BJP in a hurry? We have seen in the last one year that the BJP rejects the allegations and eventually falls flat on its face; Whether it is the murder of Palghar or the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. State Congress General Secretary Sachin Sawant said that the BJP wants to insult Maharashtra.

Mr. Sawant further said that the BJP should give clarification about its worker being seen with the Mercedes car seized by the NIA.

In his press conference in Delhi, former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the claims of a BJP worker photographed with a Mercedes car were foolish, to say the least. He said, ‘Congress has a habit of making claims in advance. The car was bought by his friend and he was only standing in front of him.
