Collectors inspect counting centers – The Hindu

Collector K. Senthil Raj and Superintendent of Police.S. Jayakumar on Tuesday inspected the Government Engineering College of the counting center for voting in the six assembly constituencies of the district.

He also visited the counting hall after inspecting the strong rooms where electronic voting machines would be kept till 2 May after the voting.

He asked the officials to fit surveillance cameras and floodlights at all the counting points of the counting center and put sufficient number of tables in the counting hall, ensuring physical distance during the counting.

He inquired about the separate routes used by officers to count candidates and join agents inside the counting hall.

Deputy Collector Thauthukudi, Simranjit Singh, District Revenue Officer Kannapiran were present.

In Tenkasi, Collector GS Sameeran inspected the USP Polytechnic College at Kodikurichi near Tenkasi, the counting center for voting in the five assembly constituencies of the district on Tuesday evening.
